In this project, I worked with Hannah Turpaud to create a title sequence for Takeshi Miike’s 2007 film Crows Zero. The movie is based on the manga of Hiroshi Takahashi. It tells the story of Genji, son of Yakusa, in his attempt to take over the most violent high school in the country: the Suzuran Senior High School for Boys, nicknamed "The School of Crows".

We tried to express the intensity of the movie throught the eyes of a bird flying over the city. The names are integrated as if they were part of the urban landscapes.
Michael Arias' animation movie Tekkonkinkreet (based on a Taiyo Matsumoto's manga) was a huge reference for us.
